Xpress Coders Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Annually, Xpress Coders will publish a statement outlining the steps taken to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of its business operations or supply chains. As a software development company, our commitment to uphold ethical practices to combat modern slavery falls under Section 54 of the UK’s Modern Slavery Act 2015.

1. Organisational Structure and Business

Xpress Coders is a Private limited company with offices located in London, UK. We specialise in providing software solutions including (AI, Blockchain, Web, Mobile app ) to clients across various industries. Our clients range from small businesses to multinational corporations, which utilise our services to enhance their operations.

2. Supply Chains

Our supply chains mainly consist of software and technology service providers. We engage with subcontractors, freelancers and third-party vendors to support us in achieving the highest standards within our services. We are committed to ensuring that our supply chain remains free from any forms of modern slavery or human trafficking.

3. Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking

At Xpress Coders, we maintain strict policies that prohibit the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether within our direct operations or our supply chains. Our company handbook and HR resources provide guidance on responsible recruitment, employee well-being and adherence to relevant legislation. We are dedicated to operating with integrity and fairness, and we expect the same from our business partners.

4. Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking

As a part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we adhere to the following due diligence processes when considering new suppliers:

  • Conduct thorough background checks to understand the suppliers’ business model, reputation and compliance with anti-slavery laws.
  • Review and assess supplier policies relating to modern slavery and human trafficking before engaging in business with them.
  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of our existing supplier relationship, ensuring their policies and procedures reflect our standards.

5. Risk Assessment and Management

Xpress Coders regularly evaluates potential risks within our business operations and supply chains, taking appropriate action to manage and mitigate the risk of modern slavery occurrences. We dedicate resources to assess risks related to our suppliers and third-party partnerships, addressing any instances of non-compliance with our policies and promptly taking corrective action when required.

6. Training and Awareness

To ensure the proper understanding and implementation of our policies and compliance with the Modern Slavery Act, we provide training and resources to key staff members responsible for managing our supply chains. This includes the training of new employees, as well as ongoing training and support for existing staff to better recognise the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking, thus promoting a workplace that is both ethical and compliant.

7. Reporting

We encourage all our employees, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions about modern slavery within our business or supply chains. This can be done anonymously through our whistleblowing procedure, ensuring confidentiality and protection against any form of retaliation or victimisation for those who raise concerns in good faith.

This statement has been approved by the Director and will be reviewed and updated, as necessary, at least once a year.
